TERRELL HANNAH

Head Coach 10U/4th Grade/2035

Coach Hannah is an East Paulding alumnus. Graduating in 2012, he was a two-sport athlete playing both football and basketball, and who went on to play college football for Hutchinson College in Kansas. He continues his love of sports through his children, coaching his youngest son and heavily involved in his daughter's basketball career as well. He also stays active in sports himself playing men's Flag football, softball tournaments, and dedicated to coaching up the next generation of basketball players!

JODY ROBY

Head Coach 11U/5th Grade/2034

Jody Roby is an Engineering Manager at aerospace/defense contractor Lockheed Martin. Born and raised in the state of Vermont, he was a four-year starter for his high school football, baseball and basketball teams, and later walked on at Champlain College before leaving to serve in the United States Air Force as an avionics technician during Desert Storm. Moving to Georgia in 1998, he finished getting his degree from Kennesaw State University in Industrial Engineering. A member of the congregation at West Ridge Church, Coach Roby enjoys playing an occasional round of golf with his wife, Amanda, and coaching his son and two daughters in a variety of sports, including football, baseball, and basketball.

TOMMY THOMPSON

Head Coach 12U/6th Grade/2033

Coach Thompson is the Senior Territory Sales Leader for Mannington Mills, but is best known as the All-world starting point guard for the 2004 Division II National Champion Kennesaw State University basketball team!  He is also the President and CEO of “Above the Line” Training Academy and one of the lead basketball trainers in the area. Having been inducted into the Kennesaw State Hall of Fame, Coach Thompson is a prominent member of the KSU Alumni community as well as conducting his most important jobs – Christ-follower, dad, husband and family man.

LEON MURRAY

Head Coach 6th Grade Girls/12UG/2033

Coach Leon Murray brings outstanding leadership and a wealth of high-level playing experience to NME! His multifaceted career spans professional sports, education, and entrepreneurship, all rooted in his collegiate athletic journey as a Division I basketball and football player. He began at the University of Pittsburgh and later transferred to Tennessee State University, where he graduated in 2000. A commanding presence on the football field, Coach Murray played quarterback throughout his career, consistently demonstrating leadership and fostering team unity. His professional playing experience includes time with the NFL’s New York Giants and Washington Redskins, NFL Europe’s Berlin Thunder, and the Arena Football League with the New York Dragons, Nashville Kats, and Georgia Force. Following his playing career, Coach Murray transitioned into coaching and athletic administration. He has served in multiple high school head coaching and administrative roles with his most notable experience at the collegiate level - at Morehouse College, where he spent a decade as Offensive Coordinator and Recruitment Coordinator. During his tenure, he helped retain and graduate over 90% of his student-athletes and mentored two players who went on to be drafted into the NFL. Since November 2022, he has served as Owner and CEO of Murray Premier Logistics, an Amazon partner, continuing his commitment to excellence and leadership beyond sports.

MICHAEL RODRIGUEZ

Head Coach 13U/7th Grade/2032

Coach Rodriguez is a current High School Assistant Basketball Coach and long-time successful travel basketball head coach. He was a two-year Letterman for Class 7A North Paulding High School, and was a Senior on what remains the best team in school history (23-8 in 2019). He then served on the staff at Division I Kennesaw State University while at the same coaching and managing multiple basketball responsibilities for his family business - the NME AAU travel program!

KRISTIAN FORD

Head Coach 15U/9th Grade/2030

Kristian Ford is an NME Class of '21 alumni who signed Division II from his time with NME and finished his career at Edward Waters University. Coach Ford was an elite, two-time All-County and All-Region player at East Paulding High School. He has spent the last two seasons as an NME assistant coach and is currently a highly-respected individual trainer for HS-level players in Atlanta. He takes the reins of the NME UA RISE 2030 team at the start of the 2027 travel season.

STEVE RODRIGUEZ

Head Coach 16U/10th Grade/2029

Coach Rodriguez is a long-time Attorney in Atlanta, GA who has served as both a travel and high school basketball coach beginning in 1994. In 7 years as a varsity high school head coach in Florida, his teams amassed a 168-53 record (.760) winning 3 District Championships, two sectional finals appearances, and a State Championship Game (Final Four) appearance. His travel basketball experience includes teams from the 3rd through 11th grade, including Nike-funded and Nike travel teams in the 16U and 17U age division from 1999-2006. His time with Nike included teams with players such as Denis Clemente (Kansas State) and Jose Juan Barea (Northeastern, NBA Dallas Mavericks). Overall, his HS and 17U travel teams have produced 41 college signees to include 25 at the Division I level. In over 30 years of coaching, he has accrued 1006 wins, 91 tournament titles, and a .731 winning percentage at the conclusion of the 2026 travel basketball season.

CHRIS WOODHOUSE

Head Coach 10th Grade Girls/16UG/2029

Coach Woodhouse was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Losing his parents at a young age, he moved to Georgia to live with his grandmother, and he developed into one of the premiere local prep high school basketball stars. First at Roswell and then finishing his career at Etowah HS, Coach Woodhouse became an All-Region and All-Area player in the 1990's. After earning his marketing degree at Georgia Southern, he became well known in the Atlanta professional class as well as the pop-cultural community in the ATL. His deep basketball roots and knowledge and love for the game led him to coaching youth basketball for several years, and now into the travel circuit.



DESHAUN FORD

Head Coach 17U Ford Boys/11th Grade/2028

Coach Ford has served as one of the most successful Head Coaches and program managers in North Metro Elite history, dating back to his early arrival in 2012. He is the consummate professional and basketball guru - trainer, coach, advisor, management. When not coaching basketball and helping mentor young kids, he is a long-time Senior Executive with GLOCK, Inc.

Head Coach 11th Grade Girls/17UG/2028

Dr. Ryan Dyer is the current Athletic Director at Class 7A North Paulding High School. His career includes being a former college player at Maryville University and former college assistant coach at Reinhardt University. He has been a long-time successful Varsity high school boys coach in the metro Atlanta area, first as an assistant at Kennesaw Mountain and then as the long-time Head Coach for the North Paulding Wolfpack. He was the first coach on the Boys side to win 20+ games in a season, advance to the state playoffs, and crack the Top-Ten rankings while heading up the Wolfpack.
