TRAVEL BASKETBALL PROGRAM

Mission Statement

North Metro Elite (“NME”) is a Boys and Girls Travel Basketball Program located in Dallas, GA, serving kids and families on the northwest perimeter of Atlanta, Georgia. NME has on average between 11 and 13 teams from ages 3rd through 11th grade in any given year, which is approximately 140+ families each season that represent our organization in travel basketball. Our teams have been playing in the area since 2010. 

The mission of NME "....is to provide an athletic, educational and leadership program using the sport of basketball to help mentor and train young boys and girls in our community, and to instill the values and personal character traits that will benefit them over the course of a lifetime."   Our program helps foster goodwill, teamwork, loyalty, dedication, hard work, character, and personal responsibility in the lives of our kids. "Faith, family and tradition" are important points of emphasis when NME teams are formed and as they play during each travel season.

Any financial contribution to NME is characterized in one of two ways: charitable gift or corporate sponsorship. For charitable gifts, NME is not a 501(c)(3) entity, but is recognized as an unincorporated association. Donations to the program which cover player fees may enjoy favorable tax treatment (please consult your tax advisor). As a corporate sponsor, donors receive advertising at our tournaments, as well as marketing and other benefits from our websites and mailing lists, which reach over 12,000 unique visitors annually. NME digital contact lists number over 7500+ in the greater Atlanta area.

NME has been one of the most successful basketball programs in the greater Atlanta area for some time, and current and former NME players make up the rosters of a dozen high schools in our community. NME teams have played in Nike sponsored events, major cities such as Washington, DC, Chicago, Lexington, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Tampa and Orlando, FL, and are recognized throughout the national travel basketball community. Unlike much of the travel sports world - NME prioritizes the team first, and that selflessness and sacrifice to the greater good is the highest calling of our players. Most importantly, our young men and women will exhibit character, class, values, and good sportsmanship when representing themselves and our families on the hardwood each travel season.
